This is a needle felted bear I've created I got the book Needle felting magic making beautiful bears the other day by Barbara Allen. It's more the size of a booklet only 50 something pages I believe. But its very informative with excellent photos and charming bears that will inspire you to follow the instructions. I made my first thread jointed bear and here she is. Buttons are for decoration purposes as I have seen similar looks with jointed bears. I think she's come out quite cute though I haven't named her yet. She is needle felted in merino wool roving and is fully jointed, even her head moves.
Love the bear! I used Barbara Allen's book to make my first needle felted bear back in Nov 2008 and havent looked back since. I was so impressed with her book I contacted her to thank her for making the book so easy to follow. I still refer back to it when I get stuck in a rut and need to do something different with my bears. Keep up the good work!
