a gift from a special felting friend

This little character is popping up in this blog post because its a gift from a swap partner who I've long admired. Little handfuls is her blog name, Liza Adams is the talented artist behind the bears who resides in New Zealand. I sent off my gift awhile ago and will post photos of that soon(this is my gift to Liza and I added some nylon for whiskers ) but this is what she sent me a lovely bear in mint green, cream and emerald green and black for the eyes.

One of those mornings

Today has not been a great start to the day, I'll pre warn if you are not good with blood look away from the pics! mind you its only stains on the carpet really and my cut lip lol

But this morning I climbed out of bed, happy with the fact I'd organized my wool last night. In a metal storage thing anyways I had a dizzy spell as I have low blood pressure and fell, I hit my face against said metal storage cabinet and ended up with a blood nose and two fat lips. As you can see the swelling has gone down luckily, I'm just glad I didn't break or loose a tooth or anything worse.

so much for me trying to be organized! obviously being organized is not my thing haha I am feeling better now though, just sore. I am seeing my doc this afternoon to get my blood pressure checked out as I haven't had an episode like that for awhile.

a little something

This is a little flower I created just for fun lol no purposes for it as yet we'll see what I create from it maybe. I like gray and pink together.

well today was a lot of fun let me tell you! I found out I'd placed second for my wet felted scard, third, fourth and an encouragement award I can't remember exactly for what lol my mind is boggled.

But I pick everything up tomorrow along with the awards. So I'm rather happy, I went along with my fiancee's ,mother and we had a great time looking around.

Two new crafts

well folks tomorrow I have the last day of my crochet lessons and this is what I've gor to show for myself as I haven't been a very good student with sitting down and actually doing what I've learned the last three weeks! lol but something is better than nothing. So this is the sampler I've done of the stitches we've learned. It's a bit rough but eh lol I'm a newbie at crochet.


This is another new craft I'm learning how to draw with water color pencils, its such a fun technique I'm going to be trying heaps new things with it. This is a little fox cub drawing I created tonight.





Tomorrow is the big day where I find out how my needle felted entries have gone in the show. I'll be taking lots of piccies of the festival as well, I'm attending with my fiancee's mother so it should be a lot of fun as long as the weather holds out.
