Husky puppy needle felted

Hello all this is my latest a needle felted Siberian Husky puppy, he's five way jointed. I love thread joining my felties now that I know how to do it. It's really not at all hard. He is so cute and bouncy looking.




Today has been a busy day, first off doctors appointment, then laundry, then I had to catch up 11 zebra finches, two Karaki parrots, four Turq parrots, one Burk parrot all because we're adding more to our family tomorrow lol now I'm going to be cooking dinner thankfully its Friday so I can do an easy one of pizza.

wool painting

This is a felt painting I created last night... I've always struggled with wool painings but am happy with this one as it has nice texture and a certain style to it I think. I've used a variety of wools. I like the wave crashing, the boat sailing away from it. The woman is waving away to her betrothed Captain, I've dubbed this picture High seas goodbyes.




Today is a lovely sunny winters day, I'm making the most of it by visiting a new craft and patcwork shop in my area and am finding out if their interested in hosting a craft group. Wish me luck.

latest needle felted teddy bear

My latest little teddy bear! I am yet to name her however lol She is puce colored with teal accents. I created her dress by needle felting and hand stitcing with gray yarn. I think she's rather cute. wild and woolly wizard

Hello all! what a horrid and dreary day its been well it is winter here for us in Australia. I've created a lovely wild and woolly wizard. I like doing cute little characters. I think he would like to live at the bottom of a garden where he can make friends with all the animals.

Soldier Peep the quail

we have had some excitement this morning! we've had in the incubator king quail eggs, six of them in total however only one has developed. He's a pied King quail. I've dubbed him Soldier Peep, he is very brave. My other half had to get him out of the egg as it had been too long and for some reason he hadn't turned himself properly in the egg to be able to eat the membraine and get himself out. We wouldn't normally intervene however we had felt the need to this time as it had just been too long. We could hear him peep in the egg.

How cute are these? I found a lovely gal on Etsy who does these cute little round birds. I ordered a custom order because it was my five year anniversary with my other half and I couldn't decide what to choose for myself but when I found her and her birds I knew it was what I wanted. I ordered one Blue Quaker parrot, one Green Quaker parrot, one Rose breasted cockatoo (galah) and a Lutino love bird. The first three are my own pet birds. Nessie is the blue Quaker parrot, Jimmy is the green one and Bert is the galah. The lutino lovebird is my other halfs passion as he breeds lovebirds. I am so excited and cannot wait for this little ol' package to arrive. peachesproducts is the gal from Etsy who makes these brilliant birds. peachesproductstook this picture of them at her end I'll take mine when I get them. I can't wait!

My new womens support group

I realize this is rather off topic for me however I have started a yahoo group hoping to start a supportive environment to share stories, information, advice and so on for women who suffer menstral cycle issues and problems relating to it. I've called it women 2gether.

I suffer prolonged, heavy, excruciating periods along with migraines and other symptoms that is undiagnosed at the moment. I hope to see you soon if you are interested at all.

needle felted yorkie dog

hello all this is my latest lovely needle felted dog, a needle felted yorkie! she's five way jointed. It's the first kind I've done like that and I'm really happy with how she's come out. She has a threaded nose, needle felted eyes. She's quite life like I think and looks adorable in the tea cup I found. I don't normally do princess looking things but I'm really happy with her. She's available in my Etsy store.

latest needle felted mermaid cute

I created this little mermaid and shell accessory last night. I explored a local park/nature walk to take her photos and think they turned out quite well. I like how the shell looks with her. She is not my first mermaid I have attempted but I do like this one better. I adorned her with a hair accessory. She is available in my etsy store. Castle in the sky

I'm dabbling in some wet felting lately and this is my latest piece. I have used some needle felting and embroidery as well. I call it Castle in the sky. I rather like the calmness of the castle colors and the clouds around it. It's about five or six inches long and about five wide... I rather like how its come out. I don't dabble in wet felting often but it is fun to do small projects like this.

Wintery bird

Nature right outside our door, this was taken from our back door. It's such a wintery day today that even the white cockatoo is blending in! they must be feeling the cold and hunger. There were three hanging about but I don't think they liked the camera noises but I'm glad I got this one as it really shows how wintery it is.

There is meant to be snow in the hills near us... not surprising we can feel the ice in the air. My hands are that cold as I type this I'll have to find my mittens.

wedding bear family

Hi everyone, gosh what a horrid day we're having, this bad weather is continuing all week, and to make myself sound old and grumpy we're getting cold wind with chills that seems and feels like ice is in the air even though we don't get snow where we are.

But this is my latest project, a gift I've made for a girlfriend of mine, she is getting married in 22 days actually eloping as she and her fiancee can't stand the family drama lol. They are running away for a romantic wedding of their own. She is actually 6 months pregnant so I joked that its a shotgun wedding.

But here is a little bear wedding family. I needle felted over the weekend. The little pink bear is the baby of this family as my friend knows the sex of the baby which is obviously a girl to be. I'm so excited for my friend ^^ we're actually catching up tomorrow afternoon for a girlie catch up of our own and I'll present her with this gift then.Don't forget about my give away which is running for the month of July.
